Location: Darwin Middle School, Northern Territory
Seagrass is the favorite food for dugongs and an important habitat for many marine species within Darwin Harbour. The health of the Seagrass meadows is intrinsically linked to the health of the Dugong and overall health of the aquatic ecosystem.
This tree was another salvaged African Mahogany tree from Cyclone Marcus, planted by students 60 years ago.
