Location: Northern Centre for Contemporary Art, Darwin
This solo exhibition explores the Artist’s journey as a father, metaphorically, through seed pods. Wood comes from trees comes from seeds. Tiny creations which hold all the DNA of the parent plant, wait for the right conditions to germinate. A seedpods primary function is to grow, protect, nurture and release life to the next generation. Joel considers what he is passing on, planting and sowing into the next generation (as a man, dad, husband, artist and teacher).
